HDC has a unique lens on the health and disability system. Our complaints data is grounded in people’s experience, and can reflect the issues people using services care most about.
We monitor trends that appear across complaints to target areas of concern within the sector. We regularly liaise with other agencies who have a responsibility for quality and safety agencies to share information, insights, identify trends and work together to effect change.
HDC also ensures that the learnings from complaints are communicated to the sector and the general public by publishing reports both on individual complaints and on trends that emerge across complaints.
